Vintage Japanese Scenic Teacups & Saucers – Pair with Gold Trim and Landscape Motifs
Couldn't load pickup availability
This delicate pair of vintage Japanese teacups and saucers features exquisite hand-painted scenic motifs—mountains, temples, trees, and water—framed in traditional red, green, and gold tones. Likely mid-20th century, these porcelain pieces reflect Japan’s export era, when fine wares were created for Western markets with an emphasis on artistry and elegance.
The cups are exceptionally thin, possibly egg shell porcelain or fine bone china, with light translucence when held to the light. Both sets include matching saucers and gold trim accents. Marked “Made in Japan” on the base, a common export hallmark post-1921.
Perfect for display, tea rituals, or gifting to collectors of Asian ceramics.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. Minor gold wear consistent with age; no chips or cracks.
Use Note:
As with many vintage ceramics, these are best suited for decorative use or occasional light serving. Not recommended for daily or hot liquid use due to potential glaze composition.
