Antique Victorian Oval Portrait in Bentwood Wood Frame – 25”

Antique late-19th-century Victorian oval portrait housed in a dark bentwood frame with antique wavy glass.

The large 25” oval frame has wonderful age and character, including visible stepped spline construction and an old wood backing. The portrait has soft age toning, light foxing, and a beautifully faded appearance that gives it an atmospheric, timeworn quality.

A striking piece for an antique gallery wall, Victorian-inspired interior, dark academia space, or collected eclectic home.
